Duit Rolling...
Yesterday i witnessed how a big spender could sacrifice money for comfort and partly the uncontrolled and celebrated 'nafsu'. Not trying to ill- mouth but just a note to myself. :)
Let me describe my aunt. Retired. Rich. Lots of free time. Husband just got his performance bonus of 10K. Big car. Overwhelming accessories. Overwhelming clothes and sorts. Known for her money yang mcm tak habis2. And hidup rilek.
So yesterday she asked me and my mum to join her for shopping at Taka so that we can take the car and I drive. I told myself to be prepared for long roundings as u know, women are long, tiring shoppers. Haha. True enough, almost 3 hours were spent only at the same level. Round entah brape kali, belet sana, belet sini.. pegang sana, pegang sini.. Finally we reached at the section where they display beds beautifully accessorised with pillows, cushions, quilts etc. One of them stood out with the its quilt design from Italy, branded, and my aunt liked it so much cos its made of 700 thread count which goes to show how soft it is and of course, th design is very the nice and pardon me, it's not cheap. After so much of 'cantik eh?', 'lembut lah', 'kalau tido sedap ni', she decided and told the salesperson, "Give me one set of these please." Ka-ching! $450 gone for a set of beautiful cadar katil! And so I thought, would she have bought it if her husband is here? Haha.. I think she's trying to get as much as she can gain from the freedom given. Kalau husband tak permit pon, the fact that she can't turn back the time after purchasing it. And then, just to let u know that's not all she bought yesterday.. Needless to say, you'll be surprised how orang kaya raya will spend their money without worry.
One thing to note, no doubt money can bring materialistic gain. I believe everyone deserve to be wealthy, it's just how much you can handle it. Once you go higher, the harder you'll fall. And that's the scary part cos once you fall, it will take longer than the time to get rich to get yourself back on track. Well, in case if i get rich one day, i shall have my rule of a thumb. Spend as much as you like, but the same portion or more shall be streamed to a good course for the berkat. Insya Allah. Anyway, i'd like to have my own collection of famous labels if i ever get there one day. I'm sure it feels goooooooooooooooooooooooooooood.
